Chris Babel

Chief Executive Officer

Chris has been CEO at TrustArc since 2010 and has led the company through significant growth and transformation into a leading global privacy compliance and risk management company. Chris is a privacy thought leader, as he frequently speaks at industry events such as the IAPP Data Protection Congress, the Privacy Identity Innovation Conference and the IoT Privacy Summit. He is also widely quoted as a privacy expert in well-known publications such as PCWorld, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal.

Before joining TrustArc, Chris spent over a decade building online trust, most recently in the security industry as Senior Vice President and General Manager of VeriSign’s worldwide Authentication Services business, where he was responsible for strategy, sales, marketing, product and support. Chris also previously managed VeriSign’s SSL and Managed Security Services business. In these roles he helped grow the businesses though the launch of new products to enterprise and small/medium businesses, international expansion in EMEA and Asia and through acquisition and integration of a number of companies.

Chris holds a BA in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences and Economics with Highest Distinction from Northwestern University and lives with his wife and three sons in San Francisco.

Tim has led Finance, Accounting, and HR at TrustArc since 2010, leading the company through significant expansion and growth in terms of employees, geographic coverage, and business operations.

Before joining TrustArc, Tim gained 15 years of financial and strategic management expertise working with various technology companies as a Managing Director in Morgan Stanley’s Technology Group. At Morgan Stanley, Tim worked with the full spectrum of technology companies — computer hardware, software, internet, semiconductor and semiconductor capital equipment, and contract manufacturing — and spent several years as the Co-Head of its Global Semiconductor Practice. Tim helped his clients raise over $12 billion in equity and debt financings and advised on over $20 billion in strategic mergers and acquisitions.

Tim has a BS in Business Administration with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley. Tim enjoys car restorations, DIY projects and the outdoors (particularly Maui).

Hilary Wandall 

SVP, Privacy Intelligence and General Counsel | CIPP/US, CIPP/EU, CIPM, FIP

Hilary is SVP Privacy Intelligence and General Counsel of TrustArc Inc. She leads the TrustArc Privacy Intelligence, Research, Legal, Regulatory Affairs and Policy, and Business Development teams and the design and development of the company’s privacy frameworks and Knowledge, Intelligence, and Assurance Products. She also serves as Corporate Secretary of TrustArc. Ms. Wandall joined TrustArc in 2016 after 22 years at the global pharmaceutical company, Merck, where she most recently was AVP, Compliance and Chief Privacy Officer. Ms. Wandall led the global privacy program at Merck for 12 years and the global compliance program for the Merck Animal Health business for 3 years.

During her tenure at Merck, Ms. Wandall also held positions as a corporate attorney, marketing promotion manager and biomedical research scientist on molecular mechanisms of HIV and cancer.

Ms. Wandall has been involved in various organizations across the privacy and legal communities, including the Executive Committee of the IAPP Board of Directors and 2016 IAPP Board Chairman, Chair of the Board of the International Pharmaceutical Privacy Consortium, member of the OECD Privacy Experts Working Group, and the Advisory Board of the Temple Law Center for Compliance and Ethics. In 2018, she was elected to the Board of Trustees of her undergraduate alma mater, Moravian College.

Ms. Wandall received her law degree and MBA from Temple University, Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Moravian College. She holds the CIPP/US, CIPP/E and CIPM certifications. She is also an IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP). She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She resides with her family in Center Valley, Pennsylvania.

Courtney Pallotta

Senior Vice President, Marketing

Courtney is Senior Vice President of Marketing at TrustArc, Inc. and is responsible for driving the company’s overall marketing strategy, including brand management, corporate communications, product marketing, customer acquisition and retention, and marketing planning and execution. Prior to joining TrustArc, Courtney spent 7 years at Netezza growing their marketing presence and team, from pre-revenue through their IPO and eventual acquisition by IBM in 2010.

She then spent 5 years at IBM leading marketing of various analytics, cloud and data science offerings. Most recently she was VP of Marketing at ClearSky Data, a multi-cloud storage-as-service provider, which was also recently acquired. Courtney is passionate about building and growing awesome tech offerings, brands and teams.

Elizabeth Blass 

Senior Vice President, Global Privacy Solutions

Elizabeth has led the Global Privacy Solutions (GPS) team at TrustArc since 2014.

She has over 15 years of customer care leadership experience and leads a team of several dozen privacy solutions professionals at TrustArc located around the globe that provide guidance to clients in implementing privacy management solutions and products.

Prior to joining TrustArc, she was the Senior Director of Co-Location Customer Service Operations at CME Group, a global derivatives marketplace headquartered in Chicago, where she created and managed a 24 x 7 multi-channel support center, customer portal, and quality management program.

Prior to CME Group, Elizabeth was Regional Service Vice President at Verizon Business. Supporting multinational enterprise accounts, Elizabeth drove continuous improvement for service delivery, post-install technical advocacy, and service management.

Elizabeth holds a Master’s degree in Strategy, Management, and Leadership from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad Graduate School.

Michael Lin

Senior Vice President, Products and Engineering

Michael has led product management and engineering at TrustArc since 2018, focusing on the technical definition and development of our Privacy Management Platform.

Prior to joining TrustArc, Michael had a variety of GM and Product leadership roles such as VP and GM of the SMB business at Qualys driving growth in a new market segment; VP of product management at Aerohive Networks leading their transformation from hardware to cloud services; and as VP of Product Management for Mobility at Symantec, where he led the strategy and development of mobile products including Mobile Device Management, Mobile Application Management, Enterprise Secure Synch and Share, and consumer mobile offerings.

Before Symantec, Michael served as an executive in residence at SRI Ventures where he applied his mobile industry expertise to evaluate various venture concepts in the mobile marketplace. Prior to that, he worked for twelve years at VeriSign, which culminated with a position as VP/General Manager, responsible for product, strategy, and overall business performance of the VeriSign SSL business. Michael holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Vice President, Global Human Resources

As the Vice President of Human Resources for TrustArc, Park leads the strategy and execution of talent initiatives designed to empower, ignite and engage employee performance and potential.

In Park’s 20 year Human Resources career, he’s worked for several high growth companies where he planned and shaped HR programs for Bay Area start-up and established environments. Recognized for the ability to create programs across a variety of HR functions, he blends innovative solutions based on solid business fundamentals to produce HR initiatives that benefit the company and employee.

Park’s most recent position was as the Senior Director of HR for Healthline Networks, a company that split into two very successful companies (a health data B2B company and a Health Media company).

Park has a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, and a MBA from Dominican University of California.

Terry McQuay is the former President & Founder of Nymity (founded in 2002). An accomplished speaker, inventor, and privacy compliance and accountability expert, Terry is the author of “The Privacy Office Guide to Demonstrating Accountability” and a patent holder for software demonstrating privacy compliance.

Andrew Braccia

Partner, Accel

Andrew Braccia joined Accel in 2007 and focuses on consumer-oriented mobile and web services companies. He was an early investor and on the boards of Slack, lynda.com (acquired by LinkedIn), Squarespace, Vox Media, Cornershop, MyFitnessPal (acquired by Under Armour), Hotel Tonight, Cloudera (public), Anchor.fm, Gametime, and UserTesting. He also works closely with the teams at Braintree (acquired by PayPal), Etsy (public), Xero (public), and PagerDuty.

Prior to joining Accel, Andrew spent close to a decade in a variety of executive positions at Yahoo!.

Andrew is from Santa Rosa, California and graduated from the University of Arizona.

Partner, Icon Ventures

Jeb Miller joined Icon Ventures in 2009 as a General Partner, bringing over fifteen years of experience working with early-stage technology companies as a venture capitalist, operating executive, and investment banker. Jeb has relentless energy and is passionate about teaming with entrepreneurs to help build successful companies. He also serves as a consultant to the US Department of Defense’s Rapid Reaction Technology Office.

Jeb’s venture capital career began with Morgan Stanley Technology Ventures, a corporate venture group he co-founded in 2001. He then further developed his venture investing skills with two leading venture capital firms, three years as a Partner with ComVentures and three years as a Principal with Worldview Technology Partners. Prior to joining Icon Ventures, Jeb was with the Silicon Valley office of The Carlyle Group focused on technology investing. He also gained valuable operating experience as Managing Director of Business Development for Scient, a pioneering Internet consulting firm that helped build and launch over two dozen early internet start-ups. Jeb began his career with Morgan Stanley’s technology investment banking groups in New York, Boston, and Menlo Park. At Icon, Jeb is on the Board of Button, CloudPhysics, Duetto, Exabeam, Ripcord, Rylo, TrustArc, and TUNE, and is a Board observer at Delphix and Quizlet. Prior Icon portfolio companies include Aster Data Systems (Teradata), Inkling (Marlin), FireEye (FEYE), MoPub (Twitter), Ocarina Networks (Dell), Oodle (QVC), Origami Logic (Intuit), Pertino (Cradlepoint), Vuclip (PCCW) and WGT Sports (Topgolf).

Jeb’s past investments include AdInfuse (Velti), Innotas (Planview), IntruVert Networks (McAfee), LogLogic (TIBCO), ONStor (LSI Logic) and Rhapsody Networks (Brocade). Over the course of Jeb’s seventeen-year venture capital career, he has had the opportunity to work with over 40 start-ups. Jeb has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Harvard College where he graduated summa cum laude and played water polo.
