Each week we give you an inside look at the talented, knowledgeable and friendly people who work at TRUSTe.

Name: Kevin Clifford

Job Title: Director, Enterprise Solutions

How long have you worked at TRUSTe? I’ve worked at TRUSTe for just over 5 years.

Tell us about your role at TRUSTe. I work with enterprise clients who are looking for a wide range of data privacy solutions, which include privacy assessments, consulting projects, monitoring solutions or, more recently, our new Assessment Manager to help automate their privacy assessments across the organization. I help our clients prioritize their privacy roadmap and then identify which of our solutions fit their needs. Once our privacy solutions are in place our clients continue to rely on us for ongoing guidance as the global privacy landscape seems to shift on a daily basis.

What do you think are the top privacy challenges for companies? Most of the companies I work with are concerned with mitigating privacy-related risk, so they rely on TRUSTe to help ensure they’re following all regulations and best practices in any global jurisdiction they might be operating in. Since privacy is continuously changing the biggest challenge for companies is to stay on top of the latest best practices and data privacy news, which is another area where we can help them.

What do you like most about working at TRUSTe? Like most of my colleagues who have participated in this blog series, I think what differentiates TRUSTe is that there is a really good group of people that work here. Also, some of the new consulting and technology products we’re adding to our portfolio of solutions are really groundbreaking which make it a really exciting time to be here.

What do you do for fun when you’re not working? We’re fortunate enough to have a patio adjacent to our office with a ping pong table, and as the top-ranked ping pong player at TRUSTe, I enjoy beating my sales colleagues quite frequently. I’m also an avid fan of the defending World Series Champion San Francisco Giants. Finally, I run quite a bit and do lots of endurance events around Northern California.
