TrustArc, SVP Privacy Intelligence and General Counsel, Hilary Wandall wrapped up the Summit with her session on “GDPR, CCPA, and Beyond – Benchmarking Data Across Regulation Compliance.” Hilary discussed the question: how can companies survive in this new multi-regulation privacy reality and efficiently build, implement, and manage their privacy operations? Her session explored the current state of cross-regulation requirements, looking at common threads among different laws from GDPR to Singapore to Canada to Nigeria. She did so while explaining how to operationalize privacy in a way that makes it easier for people managing and overseeing privacy programs to handle the various program and practices adjustments needed to account for the differences among the laws and standards that may be applicable to an organization.
In the exhibit hall, TrustArc privacy experts were busy discussing privacy compliance challenges with attendees at the interactive TrustArc booth. Attendees participated in live demos and learned how TrustArc simplifies compliance through privacy-tech solutions. Booth visitors were able to unwind using our squishy dolphin stress-relievers and felt additional relief knowing our “Essential Guide to the CCPA” would help guide their CCPA compliance efforts. Two lucky attendees went home with Wireless Charging Apple AirPods after winning the TrustArc Free Drawing. Congrats to the happy winners!
