Arc Intelligence Goes Agentic, and It Goes Where Your Team Already Works

October 15, 2026

Privacy program maturity does not arrive all at once. It comes from moving work off spreadsheets and out of inboxes and into a system that can connect evidence to questions, sequence the right priorities, and show leadership how far along the program actually is.

Three recent updates across the TrustArc platform share that same direction: toward a program that reuses what it already knows, rather than asking teams to document the same thing twice.

Reusing What You Already Know

The clearest example showed up in the Assessment Manager. TrustArc’s Arc Intelligence feature now lets eligible assessment respondents with Arc Intelligence enabled pull directly from the Evidence Library to autofill assessment responses with greater accuracy.

The feedback behind the feature is consistent: teams document a security control or a legal basis once, then get asked the same question again somewhere else in the platform. Arc Intelligence reads existing business process records, past assessments, and uploaded documents such as a vendor contract or DPA, then preselects High Confidence suggestions for review. Suggestions flagged as Needs Review are not selected by default, and every suggestion can be reviewed, edited, or rejected before it is saved.

Arc Intelligence respects existing TrustArc roles and permissions. Users only see evidence they could already access directly, and additional AI enablement and Evidence Library visibility controls determine which evidence it can use.

Flipping the Order Without Adding Steps

The second update applied the same logic in reverse. TrustArc’s standard sequence has long been data inventory first, risk assessment second. But many teams, new and long-standing, actually start with an assessment such as a DPIA before a data inventory record exists.

Arc Intelligence now supports that order directly. Arc Intelligence generates a business process record from a plain-language prompt, with the platform suggesting systems, data elements, processing purposes, and recipients it finds in that assessment or related evidence based on that prompt. Users review and retain only the applicable suggestions before applying them, keeping a person in the loop at every step.

The detail worth noticing is that TrustArc built the feature around how teams actually work, instead of asking them to work around the platform.

Removing the Other Kind of Duplicate Work

Re-answering the same question is one source of wasted effort. Re-deciding the same priority every quarter is another, and that is the problem Program Builder is built to solve.

Program Builder is a guided, sequential plan built on the Nymity Privacy Management Accountability Framework. It breaks a privacy program into milestones, initiatives, and tasks, each with an owner, a date, and in many cases a direct link to the exact place in the platform to complete the work. A maturity score reflects completion of applicable work across Foundational, Core, and Advanced levels, and a timeline view shows scheduled milestones, initiatives, and tasks.

It is also built to be changed. Teams can reorder, hide, or add milestones and initiatives, including splitting a task like updating a privacy notice into separate versions for different jurisdictions or business units. The structure is a starting point, not a mandate.

A mature privacy program is not measured by documentation volume alone. It makes existing evidence reusable, keeps it current, and turns it into accountable action without unnecessary duplication.

If that framing resonates, the next conversation worth having is about what privacy maturity looks like at the architectural level. Join TrustArc and Golfdale Consulting on November 5 to explore the five shifts defining the next era of privacy management.
