It’s India’s turn to introduce its data privacy law! The Personal Data Protection Bill (PDPB) is expected to come into effect any day now.

In November 2020, the joint parliamentary committee studying India’s proposed data protection law made several recommendations. The PDPB is currently pending consideration by the Indian Parliament and may undergo significant changes to its current form.
