Neng Gu

Chief Technology Officer

Neng Gu, an industry veteran with over 27 years of experience, currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at TrustArc. He began his journey with TrustArc in April 2018 and quickly rose to Vice President of Engineering in September 2021. During his tenure, Neng successfully built a highly productive engineering team and led them in developing PrivacyCentral and several other privacy products.

In his current role, Neng oversees engineering teams across North America, Asia, and Europe, primarily focusing on SAAS-based privacy product development. His role reflects his commitment to contributing to TrustArc’s growth and success.

Prior to joining TrustArc, Neng held various management roles at startup companies such as IP Unity, RGB Networks, and OpenX. He possesses a Master’s degree in Computer Science and has a strong background in architecting, designing, and developing complex system infrastructure for distributed systems. Outside of work, Neng enjoys classical music and also served as a chairman of the board member for the San Jose Youth Symphony. Neng resides in Silicon Valley with his wife and two sons.
